This week, we finished learning all of the letters in the Hebrew alphabet! We learned to recognize each letter, its sound, how to write it with play dough, and words that begin with each letter.
We also continued to discuss weather and the different clothes that we wear during the different seasons.

For the past two weeks, Kindergartners have been learning to recognize the Hebrew letters as well as words that begin with each letter. Here is a list of the letters that we have covered so far. Pictures of students writing the letters and their names with play dough follow. Alphabet songs can be found under "Songs for Kindergarten" in the Additional Resources section. We have also started learning about clothing and describing what we and our friends wear. Clothes vocabulary can be found in the Additional Resources section.
This week we began so many new topics! First, we began learning about the different seasons. We talked about Summer (Ka-eets) and Winter (Ho-ref). We will continue to learn about seasons and incorporate Fall and Spring very soon! Second, we learned the names of family members in Hebrew. A list of vocabulary words from the family unit can be found in the Additional Resources vocabulary section. Finally, we practiced using Hebrew words to refer to items in our classroom. For example, we call glue "DEVEK" and scissors "MISPARAEEM". For more classroom vocabulary, check out the list in the Additional Resources section. |
