Dear Sela Family,
We are excited to welcome you to the 2017-2018 school year!
The Kindergarten and 1st grade Hebrew teacher will be Ms. Orit Hatzav. The 2nd, 3rd, and 4th grade teacher will be Ms. Julie Bayer. You can read more about our Hebrew teachers in the "About Us" section of this website.
This year we will focus our Hebrew classroom activities on music, games, movement, and projects. Project-based learning means that our students will be exploring and engaging in real-world questions in their environment. All students (K-4th grade) will have one hour of Hebrew every day. In addition, students will have an enrichment hour each week during which we will work in small groups to strengthen our students' Hebrew as well as learn about Israeli culture.
We will update this blog every week with:
There is also a section on this website with additional resources such as interactive worksheets and Youtube playlists of songs that we often sing during morning assembly and in class.
We look forward to this exciting journey together!
Ms. Orit & Ms. Julie
